Here, Bertil Vallien juxtaposes two of his favorite expressions in a fusion of man and material. The blue crucible glass is cast in a graphite mold, the head hand-painted in gold paint, then fired by the master blowers in the foundry. Fortress is part of Bertil Vallien's anniversary collection, which celebrated Bertil's 60 years as a glass artist in 2023. An expressive mini sculpture with a height of 115 millimeters.
