Palace Garden - a collective image of contemporary Swedish glass art

April 27 – September 29, the Bruno Mathsson-hall, Kosta Boda Art Gallery, Kosta

The glass art displayed in Palace Garden reflects and represents the collective knowledge that Kosta Glassworks carries with its master blowers, glass cutters, and decorative painting. Palace Garden shows where Swedish glass art, craftsmanship and tradition stand today.

During last summer's celebration of King Carl XVI Gustaf's fifty years as head of state, Kosta Boda was invited to show five selected artists glass installations in Solliden’s Palace garden — Ellen Ehk Åkesson, Åsa Jungnelius, Johan Röing, Bertil Vallien and Markus Åkesson. The exhibition was loved by visitors to the castle park.

Now we are following up last summer's success with an exhibition, which builds on the anniversary exhibition. The same artists participate with their installations from Solliden, supplemented with new works.
